Second Project – A Real Estate Agent Website

ยท

Today, I went to Manila to sort out some documents for a property that we bought last year.

I made the payment for the loan and the transfer of the title is the next step. All through the process, my agent is with me, helping me sort out the stuff that I have no idea I should be doing to transfer a property.

During our commute home, we talked about how the real estate business works. At least in the point of view of an agent. I realized that most people in this kind of business is not that tech savvy. My agent even tried creating a website a couple of times but to no avail. He just gave up. He resorted to just using Facebook pages.

So I thought, there might be an opportunity here. If I start helping people, all good things will come. So for my second project, I proposed that I will make him a website.

What does the website do?

Well, I have a few ideas:

  • Details about the agent
  • List of properties
  • Ability to capture leads
  • Generate sample computations

What problems are we trying to solve?

If we put ourselves in the shoes of the buyer, we want to know about:

  • Where the property is located
  • What the neighborhood looks like? What are the properties and establishments nearby?
  • How does the property look? Pictures, pictures, pictures
  • How does the property feel? Videos, videos, videos
  • How much is the property? Prices, sample computations

How to establish trust?

You need to build rapport, so you need to show that you are trustworthy and knowledgeable so people.

That’s what’s on my mind right now. Until next time.

  2. […] I also secured a maintenance gig for a sports website. The website is in WordPress and I got contacted to do maintenance for it. ie. update the contents, add images and what not. No new features. No coding. Just BAU. We can say that this is the actual 2nd client of Dida Tech and not this one. […]
