What has been happening? Ah! There’s a lot to cover.

Dida Tech Activities

At Dida tech, I signed the agreement with an accountant to have the legalities of registering Dida Tech sorted out. Might be a good time to start thinking about that logo.

I also secured a maintenance gig for a sports website. The website is in WordPress and I got contacted to do maintenance for it. ie. update the contents, add images and what not. No new features. No coding. Just BAU. We can say that this is the actual 2nd client of Dida Tech and not this one.

I will have a meetup with the client on Saturday.

I would like to have an opportunity to work on programming jobs again. I just finished the capstone project of my first client. It’s a tenant management system. Its all done and ready to go. In the meantime, in this downtime, I’m working on creating a programming language in Go called Dida Lang.

I also applied as a scholar for Project Sparta to learn Data Engineering. I did the exam to qualify for the scholarship which will be announced on March 1, 2024 if I got in or not. If not, that’s ok. I’ll just move on and try again next year maybe?

I wouldn’t be bored. I bought a lot of books recently.

Personal

At work, I got promoted to a tech lead. I am now under the tutelage of a seasoned tech lead and I’m trying to learn the ropes in managing my own team.

An observation recently is that, there’s a growing number of people who wants to get into the IT/Software industry as a developer. And I have been contacted a couple of times to do some mentoring.

I currently don’t have time to dedicate for a student. But perhaps I can create video courses to teach programming?
