Business Registration

I am still working on the business registration. I’ve been talking to a couple of accountants and requesting quotes about how much would it costs to register the corporation. I am working on it little by little. I plan to register Dida as a one person corporation but I am confused as to what type of tax identification to get. My choices, as per my accountant, is to go VAT or Non-VAT.

I am still confused about the difference and in what way it will affect the company going forward. So I’ll leave the explanation on another post in the future when I somehow understand it.

But currently, the cost of setting up a corporation will be in the range of P100k to P200k as far as I can tell.

At Work

It’s the end of the sprint. It’s a pretty exhausting sprint for me because I took over as the tech lead for 3 weeks. Our tech lead is on vacation. The meetings really drained my energy. And most of the raised issues needs investigation and communication with our third party provider, in this case, PesoNet.

On another topic, at work, we received an email that there will be an increase in contributions for Philhealth. Meaning, there will be more deductions on the take home pay. 🙁

This is the kind of things that I don’t want to deal with. And hopefully, I won’t bother with it again when Dida becomes a success so I am hopeful.
